Best Book to study from????
« on: August 03, 2005, 12:11:36 PM »
Hi everybody I am new to this board adn am wondering if there is a general consensus for the best starter book for the LSAT.  I know some hate Barron's, others hate Kaplan, I hear testmasters is good?

I went to the library and for about 1 month I scanned through Kaplan, Princeton, LSAT4Dummies to learn the different techniques used to approach the LSAT. Kaplan & LSAT4Dummies got the boot (although I use the practice exams to apply techniques). Princeton is very helpful. Their approach was much more to my understanding. Then, I got the Powerscore series. Well, this is THE best for me. The logic games bible alone is so complete. So what I have done is pretty much use the Powerscore books and supplement that with the Princeton Review and I've been getting better.
Anyway, this is what I found to work for me.

I found the opposite... HATED the PR, but Kaplan and Kaplan 180 worked well for me. I guess it depends on your style...

Also, the bibles are great.
