How much does the average lawyer make that owns their own practice?

I think it varies HEAVILY on a lot of factors.....

Such as:

Location
Years of experience
# of people you know (how good you are at networking and getting new busienss)

It can be a lot or it can be a very tough thing to pull off.  Just varies

Some guys start their own practice with a couple of buddies and 20 years later they have 400 lawyers working for them and have offices in Tokyo, London, and New York.
