Resident Assistant During 1st year?

Resident Assistant During 1st year?

I know that the ABA and most law schools require that you don't work your 1st year of law school, but do you think they would allow you to be an RA if you petitioned?

I'm not a 100% sure, but I doubt it.  In any case, I wouldn't recomend it.  However, I know that law students are highly sought after for RA positions their second year.  Law students are usually more mature, understand rules better, and the hours are usually condusive to a law student's schedule.  However, I still wouldn't recomend you try and be an RA your 1L year.  Too much rides on your first year's grades.
