Public interest/Policy law

Hi.
I'm thinking about pursuing a career with FBI or CIA after getting my JD. I was curious if indicating my interest in public interest law would increase/decrease my admission chances to a law school. I'm applying to a few top tier schools.
Thanks.

in my leg work, I meet w/ a Prof. at Stanford, and plan to do the same w/ people at Berkeley. It sure can't hurt.
My interest is public interst/disability law and IPR law.
