When does LSAC investigate people? only under special circumstances, or do they go through every student and see who they sat next to etc.. and compare differences etc?

I really think that LSAC would be ultra paranoid if they checked every f-in student that takes the LSAT. I would think, this is my best guess, that only if something comes to their attention.

what i mean is are there computers that tell them how many different answers students have fropm eachother?

Hey!  That's a good point!!

How do they monitor it... let's see... if someone is sitting in a chair behind me and to my left, I wonder if they bother comparing our scores as much as the scores between myself and the guy sitting beside me...

Are you serious?  Do you really think that such comparisons would actually be productive?

And BTW, why are you worried about such a possiblilty... you didn't copy all your buddy's answers yesterday during the test, did you?
