Laptop Bags, now that you've made your purchase....

We'll see just how well that works out in reality though.

I got the Booq BP3 bag and a sleeve from GYMS Pacific.  I've carried my laptop and some weekend gear to and from my house on some trains, buses and cars and haven't had any real issues.  I'm fairly certain I can fit at least one case book in there, possibly 2 along with my laptop which is in a heavily padded sleeve. 

The only downside I've seen so far is that the sternum strap doesn't really work for females, well at least me, but the waist strap really does help lighten the load.  I'd recommend it if you're willing to drop the money.  Personally I dropped a lot of money on my iBook and on law school in general so I'd like to protect my investment with a well padded bag.  That being said I spend most of undergrad using a really light bag and had no problems and four years later I still use the bag, so to each his or her own.

I like the look of this backpack and it fits within my price range.  However I am skeptical that it could hold the books I need for one class.  What do yall think?

$140 for a laptop bag? Will it take your exams for you?!?! That's way too expensive. Mine was a whopping $31. I spent more on my micro-mouse.

Then the only question becomes how much you will spend on your second one, since a $31 bag isn't likely to last three years of anything but the lightest usage.

Spending $140 doesn't mean it'll last all 3 years either.  Money doesn't always translate into quality.  Most people learn this at some point in their life.

I bought these two bags.  The blue one is just a sleeve for lugging around the laptop.  The brown one is bigger and will hold some books, too.





I'm going to get a black leather one, too.  Maybe for Christmas.

Seems like a cute bag. I tried the messenger thing and was planning to do it again for LS--then I remembered what a klutz I am and how I always knock my glasses off or mess up my hair trying to put it on! LOL.
