A serious question for my fellow busty LSDers...

As law school is drawing neigh, more and more occassions are arising that require professional attire. At a 36DDDD, this prospect is somewhat daunting. It is incredibly hard to find nice, non-frumpy professional clothing that actually fits well. Any of you in a similar situation know what I mean... fits the chest but is incredibly loose everywhere else, isn't long enough to fit the torso properly after covering the top half, or, my favorite enemy, the button down blouse opening.

I've currently been shopping at Jessica London (http://www.jessicalondon.com/), but I find that I have to buy about 2 sizes larger than the rest of my body. Although I am happy to have professional attire at least available, I really wish that I could find something a little closer to fitting, or, at the least, find a larger selection than just one store.

So, where do you shop? Any help is very appreciated!

I don't think you're going to find a store that sells clothes off the rack that will fit right. If I were in your situation, I would consider shopping at places like Nordstrom, Banana Republic, etc. that offer alterations or finding a good local seamstress. My friend is very tall with very long arms and has to have almost all of her clothes altered. It isn't very expensive, probably less than you would expect, and the clothes fit her perfectly.

This is true... I do some of my own alterations since I'm kind of between inseams on pants (regular pants are too short, tall pants are too long) but I'm not comfortable enough with my sewing to do my own work on tops. I'm going to have to start seriously looking into finding a good seamstress or shopping a little higher end (I think the seamstress will come first! )

Blegh I know exactly the pain you feel with this problem. As a 36DD but a size 4 waist, it is so hard to find clothes that fit properly. I usually buy my suits at Nordstroms and then utilize their free alterations. I have had a few suits made for me which are my favorite and fit me the best. I don't even attempt button down blouses, I usually just go for the type that have a few buttons at the top, or ones with open neck. I actually have two button down shirts that I bought from this website: www.bravissimo.com. Those shirts fit pretty good actually. Otherwise I think that it's worth the cost to have clothes tailor made for you because they ulimately fit the best and I hate it when clothes don't fit properly. I am constantly either tugging at the bottoms or feeling like a fat cow which does not make for a confident presence.

i read recently about a company that now makes button down shirts according to bra-size.  I, unfortunately, do not know the name, but I also think it is sold in some dept. store, maybe Bloomingdales.  Look at Daily Candy.com  nyc version.

I'm not sure that you have a problem.
