Chances for Georgetown PT
« on: June 28, 2005, 11:11:59 PM »
Hey everyone...been lurking here for a while, finally had to post...

I just got my June LSAT score...162 (I was expecting 165+, oh well).

My real question is...with that score and a 3.13 GPA, do I have any shot at getting into GULC PT?

Honest opinions appreciated...thanks.

If you aren't URM and/or dont have some absolutely AMAZING experience to share you have little to no shot at GULC.

Both your GPA and LSAT are below 25% mark.
Good news is you can still retake in October.  GULC is LSAT crazed, score a 175 and your average is 168.5 - still a longshot without URM and with low GPA but you will have a shot.

With a 162 I dont see it happening...sorry

Obviously, as you said...my stats aren't going to get me in Full Time, but I read somewhere that getting into GULC Part Time is easier than Full Time...

Any truth to that?

yes but it is Marginally easier, not drastically easier.  It is still a top school.  If it was this easy to get into part time it would be flooded with applicants.  I would suggest retaking the lsat.

Part Time is easier to get into @ GULC ("the back door to the T14"), but the admission standards seem to have tightened this year. While it is still easier than GULC-FT, your #'s aren't good enough to get in. The few people w/numbers like yoours that get in are older, with meaningful WE.
