bad masters degree grades-can i leave it off?
« on: June 21, 2005, 09:45:32 AM »
i have ok undrgrad grads, but my masters degree grades were horrible.  I have been doing some consulting part time this year while doing my masters.

which of these options do you find ok, and that wont make things difficult for me in the moral charachter assessment.

1)Leave off the masters degree completely  and only mention the part time work.

2) Don't pay my last bill to university so my transcript can't be sent and it says "financial obligation" the lsac form under my masters grades.

3) just come clean

Since they won't accept the transcript, why not just tell the truth?

I have not applied yet, but I have not heard that to be the case. And even if they did request them, your grad GPA will not be figured into the GPA provided by LSAC.

If the school does request them, however, I would recommend writing an addendum explaining what happened.

Masters/Grad grades-If they don't help you, they shouldn't hurt you.  I wouldn't worry about it, but if you can withdrawl or something like that, you may as well since you aren't into it anyway.

I will have a Masters degree from a US school and none of the schools asked for an official transcript.  UCLA only asked for my undergrad to be sent from the registrar -- kind of a blessing in disguise as I am having a hell of a time getting my paperwork filed for the MS.
