well, as far as schools in boston, it came down to bu and bc, i applied to a ton of schools (everywhere from georgetown and duke to william & mary and UVA) but i really only wanted to be back in boston, so once i turned down the other schools i was left with bu and bc. and really, when i first applied to bu i viewed it as a safety school (bc was my first choice all along) and i wasnt even planning on going to look at it. but when the new rankings came out i figured that it was at least worth my time to consider it. i thought the classrooms at bu were really nice. though they were the ONLY nice part of the building. the rest of that place is a *&^%-hole! the few people i spoke to were super friendly and seamed happy. but then just looking at everyone else going about their work i definitely didnt get a warm feeling about the place. the one good thing ill say about bu is that every proff who i spoke to was really amazing (maybe i just had good luck in picking who to talk to).
obviously bc's facilites blew bu's away. and yeah, everyone there did seem quite a bit happier. at the end of the day, though, it came down to where i saw myself next year. for some reason bc just felt right... and so that made my decision. i guess i just feel like there are so many unhappy lawyers and i think that a lot of them are like that because of their law school experience (too competitive, etc...) so i figure if i can go someplace where ill actually enjoy the experience, things bode much better for my future.
and im actually moving from san francisco to maine (ill spend the summer there) and then from maine to boston. ive been out in san fran for the past 11 months working. im driving back to maine in a week from monday (cant wait!). what type of work do you do, btw?
