I was wondering if the family of the accuser can now file a civil suit? Like the Goldman family did after OJ was found not quilty.

Yes, the situation is very similar; although there was much more evidence in the OJ suit and I believe that case should have been a slam dunk (where this one is a bit more iffy).

Prosecutor Tom Sneddon spoke at a news conference and appeared very bitter...not sad or regretful and apologetic for his screw-ups...just beligerent as hell.  Poor loser.
