New posters should be required to lurk a certain amount of time before they can register and post in order to cut down on the ridiculous questions asked by newbies.

yeah, lurking works.  also, maybe some of the moderators could sticky some of the more common questions/answers at the top of the boards.

I asked similar questions twelve or thirteen hundred posts ago.  So what?  I'm just happy to see new people on here sometimes.

Yes, yes, I'm relatively new. And in my short time here I've noticed that some people just ask moronic questions. I'm definitely a snob. I just hate when the Most Recent Topics list gets clogged with the same questions that have been asked many many times before.

Stickies with basic information would work as well.

No, I have no problem with the questions.  However, the better and more elaborate responses, if stickied, would provide a constant source of answers to those questions.

I actually think there are too many lurkers on here and not enough posters. Sometimes I will start a thread and 20 people will read it within 5 minutes, but nobody will say a g*ddamn thing...
