If so, which top ones do? Do these classes transfer gpas over to your current law school?

Typically, law schools don't have summer sessions. Some law schools have summer programs overseas, which can count toward law school credit, but not as part of the law school itself.
A few law schools have summer programs for incoming 1L's, which basically is an accelerated 1L program for students at that law school.

I believe in some part-time programs, you are able to take classes in the summer to transfer to the full-time program.

yeah, many part-time programs offer summer terms, for students enrolled (GULC for example). Though it sounds like the OP is asking about taking summer law classes at a school other than their own, which typically isn't allowed.

Ya, I was hoping that during summers back in socal, I could take classes at ucla, usc, loyola, etc and have then count for grades back at vandy...maybe ven boost my gpa a bit. Or even get a different perspective.
bruin04, you being a fellow alum; you realize how much easier and laid back summer sessions classes were at ucla. They were basically classes to keep you from being bored, accelerate your studies, and boost your gpa all in one hit.

Ok...so I realize that many schools do offer summer sessions abroad with classes that obviously count for your school credit and gpa. But ALL these programs push for other law schools students to come try it out too.
In this case...would the grade transfer over? I know for a fact that my school only offers one program; to Venice, but I would love the option of going to another school's programs with the grade still meaning something besides a nice letter.

Yeah, I hear you about UCLA summers.
I know that UCLA and USC don't have any summer classes on campus so that kinda sucks. Try talking to the administrators at Vandy, student services perhaps, to find out if they will count the credits/grades from another program. As long as the program or the affiliated american law school is ABA approved, you may have a shot.
