The Silent Timer: Is it effective ???

The Silent Timer: Is it effective ???
« on: June 06, 2005, 10:38:37 AM »
I was wondering if I should buy the Silent Timer to help me while talking practice tests. How effective is  this timer? Does it really help you manage time? If not then what are the alternatives?  ???

I got the basic one from powerscore and found it very helpful.  I used it in the actual test as well, even though space was limited.  I would say that it is a small investment for a handy device.  And after its all over you have something to throw against the wall in celebration! ;)

Good luck to you

From what I understand that's where to get it.  I'll be purchasing one soon.

I can't say anything good or bad about "the silent timer."  I bought a regular timer at radioshack and took out the speaker.  It worked fine for me...and cost less.  ;D

I used my kitchen timer for practice and a $1.99 digital watch for the real thing. I would just make a note of the stop time in my booklet. It worked just fine.
