June Waitlist Fallout

Hopefully waitlists will be moving this week since a lot of the second deposits were due June 1. Whatever the outcome, rejections or acceptances, I am looking forward to final closure.

I know there is a general thread for waitlist movement already posted, but please post any insider info you might have if you called the schools directly. Also, anyone received any "Are you still interested?" emails this round?

St. Johns and Brooklyn had their second deposits due on the first (both of which I am WLed in). I haven't heard anything yet nor am I expecting to. Waitlist are nothing but a tease as far as I am concerned. I am WLed at 8 schools and have bombarded most of them with continued letters of interest, LORs, told them I would take PT slot also, etc. And I bet I will not get into any of them, thats reality. I have accepted my fate, which could be alot worse to be honest. Good luck to all!

deezel, St. John's does not have a second deposit, or at the very least it was not mentioned on my admissions letter.  I do believe though that they give different due dates to different people depending on when they were admitted.  Good luck, and I hope you get in

I see. I guess LSD is not always reliable because someone on another thread said it was June 1st. Anyway, I've given up. Hofstra, here I come!

Anyone decided how much longer you are going to wait? I was thinking that I might wait until the beginning of July, but may push that up until the end of June.

I figure I can wait until I sign a lease somewhere and since I can not get to WS til the beginning of July, then that will be it I guess.

I think I've decided that I can wait until into August.  I'm living in on-campus housing...so, if I get one of those last minute waitlist calls, I can just go without having to break my lease and pay a lot.  Also, I really want to go to my waitlist schools, and I think I have a real shot (whatever that is) at 2 of them (Vandy and Cornell).  I just hate that I'm making someone on Emory's WL suffer because I'm waiting...

I am willing to wait on W&M and Tulane until the middle of August. If the others get back this month I will change my mind. But it looks like W&M and AU are full for next year.
