Where do you take your tests?

i'm taking the october LSAT, probably at the university of minnesota.

Yeah, I've been told to get out of my comfort zone.

I've taken them at all different rooms in my house, with pets making all sorts of noises and the TV on (but not too loud).  I've taken them at coffee shops and at 3 different floors and places in the library - so no two consecutive days are in the same place.  And I try to take them close to the time of the actual test (12-2 pm).

Now distractions like someone shouting or a pet barking don't freak me out completely like they used to.  I have no idea if this is going to help, but it's worth a shot.

i've taken most of them at home in my room at my apartment.  i took one at the library.  noise doesnt bother me unless its regonizable noise.  there's a few kids who play basketball outside my window and the sound of them playing doesnt bother me, but when they stop a game and start a coversation i lose my concentration.  as soon as i hear the first word, i start to follow the conversation and i'm done.  also sometimes my roomates play music and i can hear it through the wall.  if i've never heard the song before, i'm fine.  but if i know the song, i start to follow along in my head and i completely lose my focus.
i think i'll be fine with coughing, sirens, barking and general rustling around at the test.  but if the dogs start to bark words or the sirens start playing a song i know, i'm screwed.

I have been taking my tests at home. However, I visited my test site today, which helped me feel more confident about test day. I advise you do the same.

i take my tests in the basement in the nude.

I take mine at home, which doesn't sound too bad, but there's all these guys in the apt. below who ALWAYS smoke the hooka (sp).  I go out on the deck and all I hear is *bubble-bubble*

i tried taking it at starbucks, what a bad idea.

you don't want an environment with obnoxious distractions.

a good idea would be a room with people who are also studying. that's why a library works. studying in isolation limits the effectiveness, because you don't have people around you.

i've noticed that i will work differently when taking the test with 20-30 people around me (during my PR class)
