Utexas Letter of Intent
« on: June 03, 2005, 07:16:53 PM »
Just a reminder that they must be RECIEVED at UT Law Admissions(compared with postmarked) by June 17th or you lose your place.

Mine is signed, sealed, and dropped in the mailbox, along with two 2x2 passport (yeach) photos... Just hope they aren't intending on using those photos on some publi display, because they are mighty ugly... mighty passport looking.

I'm going to take my photos tomorrow. Luckily I shaved my head for the summer so I won't look at all like my photos come Fall.

The letter was dated 5/27 - sent out the friday before Memorial day.

I recieved it two days ago (Wednesday)... no mail on Monday, of course, and I live in Austin.

Were we supposed to have actually had passport pictures made? I just scanned a random snapshot and cropped it to 2x2 in photoshop and printed it out because I didn't feel like going up to Walgreens or paying $8 for some hideous picture.  I hope it doesn't matter.  I guess they will let me know if it does.

Got my letter yesterday and luckily found two passport sized photos I had left from taking 4 in a booth about 18 months ago. Sending it off tomorrow and moving to Tejas very soon.

Just FYI, they send you an email confirming that they've recieved your Letter of Intent. I received the email this morning (Mailed Intent on Saturday from Austin). Nothing shows up differently on the Freshlaw Status page, as near as I could tell... but that takes a bit to update.

&$#^@$^(@#*!#*

I left for vacation May 27th.  Got back yesterday, nearly had a heart-attack.  Had express passport photos done yesterday, and am overnighting the sucker today.  And I was thinking about extending my holiday.  Whew!

Aakash, you might want to fax the letter at least, just to be sure. Tell them a hard copy is in the mail.

I got the e-mail confirming receipt pretty quickly and my status page says that my photos were received. I live in Austin, so the mail was quick, but I was surprised at how quickly the status page changed. Usually that's pretty slow.
