How Do i Convert my Canadian GPA in to the U.S. GPA??

I'm planning to apply for U.S. law schools as well, but I was wondering how I would convert my GPA in to their system?
I go to a canadian school that uses the percentage system...so it's even more confusing.
Can anyone help?

GPA = percentage/25

i.e., 89% equates to 89/25 = 3.56

You won't convert your GPA - LSAC will do it for you.

An 89% is only a 3.56?

/25 doesn't work for Canadian GPA's.

Sorry, here's the correct conversion:

98-100 = 4.33
93-97 = 4.00
90-92 = 3.67
87-89 = 3.33
83-86 = 3.00
80-82 = 2.67
77-79 = 2.33
73-76 = 2.00
70-72 = 1.67
67-69 = 1.33
63-66 = 1.00
below 60 = 0.00

That scale is totally wrong. I go to the university of Waterloo and all of my grades are percentages. I have an 83% average and when I convert my average using the

85-100% = A = 4.0
80-85% = A- = 3.7
77-80 = B+ = 3.3
73-77 = B = 3.0
70-73 = B- = 2.7
.....
.....

My GPA is 3.59. But when the LSAC processed my transcript its 3.65!! I' sooo happy right now! :D

Use the Lsac conversion table but convert your letter grades into their 4.33 scale. do not directly convert your percentage grades. If your school only has percentages then

          90-100 = A+
          85-89  = A
          80-84  = A-
           etc
then convert to 4.33 scale..... I'm assuming you know how to add your gpa and divide by the number of classes.

So a class where you got 82% would be an A- which is a 3.67 if I remember correctly.
