The coach doesn't specify what level of team he's involved with. he could be the coach of an NCAA college team, that is basically right below professional teams. Or a minor league baseball team, which is a rung below the majors. Or, he could coach little league. The point being that he doesn't specify. So generalizing from one level to the other is not necessarily valid.
