Never assume construction will be completed on-time.  A two year delay would not be unheard of.

Rufus- I did go to UM undergrad.

Touro is a 4th tier school and it is very possible that construction would not be done on-time.  It is, however, a good indication that the school's reputation my soar after it is completed.

Dude - I don't know what your numbers are, but have you considered taking a year off and trying again next year.  You look pretty young in your avatar.

Perhaps some WE and another crack at the LSAT will get you into a T1/T2.

A- yes this is a serious poll
and
B- i suck at the LSAT.  146, and 150.  graduated with a strong gpa, scholarships, double major and tons of work experience.

but law schools don't care about that.  its 70% LSAT, 30% GPA.

I grew up on Long Island; lived there for 23 years.  Touro has a terrible, terrible reputation.  Hardly any firms interview on campus, and jobs are few.

As for the reputation, a couple of years ago, Newsday, the big Long Island paper (for better or worse...), ran an article about Touro's alarmingly low New York State Bar passage rates.  They asked some dean there why so few students actually pass, and he said something to the effect of, "We don't take good students."  I don't have this article any longer, but try and google it or find it in some archive.  My father is a college administrator on Long Island and couldn't BELIEVE the bad PR!

Anyway, if you want to practice on Long Island, choose Touro.  But seriously, caveat emptor...

BTW, the new campus is in Central Islip, which is a shithole.  Long Island has its ghettos too.

I am from NY, so it is really between New England and Touro.  New England is the better of the two, but Touro has the new law school emerging soon.

Either way, it sucks to be defined by just one exam.  I know people will disagree with me on that statement, but I have a hard time of believing otherwise.
