"The decision is in the mail"
« on: May 24, 2005, 05:03:55 PM »
So I called the admissions office of a school I've been waiting to hear back from since January 3rd today and when I asked about my status, the receptionist uttered those famous words" the decision is in the mail."

Is it safe to assume its a rejection/waitlist

It may very well vary from one school to the next, but when I called Temple to check on my application (sent Jan. 14th) a few weeks ago the receptionist told me it was "in the mail." I was rejected a week later, unfortunately.

Of course, they may just say that to get applicants off their backs regardless. Best of luck!
