LSAT Prep in Ann Arbor, MI
« on: May 18, 2005, 03:44:53 PM »
Hi there--

I'm deciding which prep class to take in Ann Arbor for October LSAT. Has anyone taken Testmasters, Kaplan, PR?  How were they?

Thanks!

This is knd of off-topic although I can help you a little...

I have taken Kaplan and overal there strategies are okay (self-study worked better)

I had a question, where do you take the LSAT in Ann Arbor, is at U Mich? I am moving to Ann Arbor and will be writing the LSAT in October this year in Ann Arbor if it is at the university...

You might want to check with Amanda H. on this.

Whatever the hell you do, don't take Kaplan or Princeton Review.

Take Testmasters180, Powerscore, Amanda H.'s company, or self-study.  The others are steaming piles of canine excrement.

umich,

Thanks that is one thing I don't have to look up...

Are you planning on applying to U Mich as well, how is your self study going my best was around a 162-165

I am hoping for a 170 like anybody else, but if all does not go well I will not be attending U mich with my wife who was accepted to U Mich for her Masters in Social Work specializing in Macro-social policy analysis (U Mich is ranked #1 in this field)

UMich is one of the places you can take the test locally.

I agree with Theo, and I think pretty much everyone else would as well.  For courses, TestMasters and Powerscore are the best, and Kaplan/PReview are relatively useless.

I used a private tutor in Ann Arbor -- you can PM me if you'd like his info.

If you are taking the LSAT near Ann Arbor, I would suggest taking it at the Washtenaw Community College site. Far easier parking and nice, well lighted rooms. Its only about ten minutes away from U of M.
