It's 5:20 and I still have not received an email from Georgetown.  Have any of you received one?  THey said they would notify us by email on May 17th.  I hate the wait!

I got the email.  It basically said we're still feeling things out and we have to wait until the next deadline, which is June 1st.  They'll send another update on June 15th.

Georgetown seems to have, shall we say, a flexible approach to deadlines. First there were all those extensions to the application deadline. Now this with the waitlist. And they said that there would be message boards available on the admitted students website starting yesterday, but they're still not there.

They also told admitted students who sent in the first tuition deposit that they would get a second mailing through US mail in "early May". Then they decided not to mail anything at all, but sent a mass e-mail on May 12. That's mid-May, if you ask me.

That's what I thought was weird. They kept pushing back deadlines, yet waitlisting tons of people. I just gave up hope with them.

Did everyone who got the continued interest email about a week ago get an email today (with the extended deadline) or only the people on the preferred waitlist?. . am not on the "preferred waitlist" (I don't think) so just wanted to check and see. . . Thanks!

I am on the "preferred waitlist" and got that email that said I would hear something on the 17th. I still haven't heard anything...
