Aaron I didn't see you on the Section B list.  Oh well.  Anyone else in B next year?

I'm in C, D, H or K, depending on which Aaron I am.

Rumor has it that 1L section assignments may be released sometime tomorrow.

Just thought I would pass it along

Thanks for the heads up, Bruin.  I had to be in town today anyway for something else, so I was able to pick up my books.  It's a really tiny bookstore, so I can see how it could get very crowded, very quickly.

I'm dying to know: what's the Snakes on a Plane story?

"Snakes on a Plane" is a movie that was allegedly made purely for its base entertainment value alone and that also does not pretend to claim some higher cinematic purpose.  One of the most unique features of this movie is that, through internet buzz, studio executives actually listened to and responded to the opinions of fans while editing and filming the movie and, perhaps for the first time, acted accordingly while preparing for the movie's release.  Two of the most famous examples:  first, SOAP was originally called by another, more boring title (something like "Airline Flight 456" or something like that), however the favorable response of internet fans to the "Snakes on a Plane" title influenced studio executives to rename the movie.  Second, due to Samuel L. Jackson's movie reputation, as fans expressed a desire to hear him say "motherfuckin snakes on this motherfuckin plane" at some point during the movie, studio executives responded by including that line in the movie.  Thus, internet hype about a movie that actually influenced the content of a movie.  The combination of the two (the hype about the movie for pure baseless entertainment value as well as the positive response to the internet buzz) is the "Snakes on a Plane" story.

Haven't seen it yet, though.  Thinking about going this weekend maybe.

Hello all UVA bound bloggers!

Could someone of you be so kind as to send me a copy of one of your professor's old exams for Civ Pro (namely, Professor C. Nelson)? They should be available on the website for the enrolled students.

I'd be very appreciative of your help - you'll save me a long & expensive trip to the UVA Law Library!
