I leave for Cville later today. See you there, I wonder who'll identify me in real life...

Rumor has it that 1L section assignments may be released sometime tomorrow.

Just thought I would pass it along

yes, and indeed they are... on lawweb, an excel spreadsheet toward the bottom of the page, from which you can determine your classes (they aren't yet "assigned," but you can tell from the course list...) happy hunting!

Aaron I didn't see you on the Section B list.  Oh well.  Anyone else in B next year?

I've got L.  So, is this all we need to go get our coursebooks or should we wait until orientation?  (No, I'm not a gunner, I just don't want to carry all the books around that first day!)

If you are in town, I would suggest getting them in the next day or two. You have a better chance of finding used casebooks, and avoiding the rush in the bookstore in the week of orientation/first classes.

Also something of interest, in case you don't yet know, is that all students have a $1,000 student charge account with the university bookstores (Law, as well as central grounds, darden...). You have to pay off the charges before you register for spring classes, but its interest-free. You can use if for course materials, as well as snacks and other random stuff during the year.
