Chances for BC priority waitlist?
« on: April 28, 2005, 08:40:35 AM »
Does anyone have an idea of what the chances are from being pulled off this waitlist? I have been hearing that BC doesn't go to the "priority" well to often for its class. Is this true? Also, I would assume that this means there is a regular waitlist also...right?

I'm also curious about the priority list.  They sent me a letter saying I made the priortiy waitlist along with a FAQ saying how the odds are better for PW candidates than regular waitlisted candidates.  It also strongly encouraged sending in follow-ups and the like.  Graduation is tomorrow so once it is official I'm going to send notice that I graduated Summa Cum Laude and update my resume.

Of course, I was completely shocked that I even made the waitlist there.  My LSAT is only 161 and I have a degree in Economics--a very conservative study, especially in the south.

Thanks.  I went to Western Kentucky University.  It's a regional state school, so that's one ding against me, but we have some really good programs.

Any updates on this topic?

Does anyone know if/when they will look to the waitlist?

this week they should start reviewing the apps. I called the ad office and they said that this week and next week they would review. I would look for most of the openings to occur around June15 or shortly thereafter, but just a guess.

yea, 300 enrolled for 260 spots...most likely no movement. At least not for a long while.

I think I might as well withdraw from the waitlist then. I'm very satisfied with my options, and probably wouldn't choose BC over them anyway. Save myself the hassle.

Good luck to everyone though. It's a good school with a nice campus.
