LAPTOP:
For y'all that are ordering your laptops in the near future or have already ordered them, did you get anything add-ons or did you get the exact one the purchasing link takes you to?  I.E., extra batteries, cables, color snap-ons, external mouse or keyboard? 

I have to admit, I'm quite nervous about ordering the laptop.  I don't know a darn thing about computers and what if there is something extra that I should get, but don't know what it is.  If you have any insight, please advise.

SUMMER READING:
Yes, I ordered ALL of the books on the list.  However, I have no intention of reading every single page of every book.  My husband told me I should get all of them, I didn't know which ones to get and not to get, so I got every last one of them!  None of them have arrived yet, however b&n says some have been shipped.  Bramble Bush isn't supposed to get here until 8/12, so I'm thinking I might cancel that one.

You can't go wrong by ordering the exact set up that they have built for UHLC.  The only upgrade that may be worth the money is the 80G hard drive versus the 60G for an extra $32.  Especially if you are going to store a lot of music/audio/video files.  Other than that, the one the have set up is great.  I got mine about 5 days after I ordered it.

I'm upgrading to the 80GB harddrive and the 1DIMMS so that I can install additional memory without having to buy replacement memory. To me, the $112 is so worth it. If this is going to be your primary computer, I'd do the same thing because the ability to upgrade (by add-on, not replacing) is priceless! You can come over to my place and my husband and I can upgrade it for you when you want.

BTW, my house is a wireless zone! We set it up this weekend and you can access the net from anywhere on my property!

Nope.  I emailed the admit office after sending my commitment form in to ask them this very question...basically they said to stop bothering them, everyone gets the same stuff and the same time and that time won't be until the first week of august.

Just to let you know, the link to the Robert's UH Law Outlines (the first one) is no longer active.  I don't know what's happened to it.  It's a shame.  The other site (AOL one) is very good, but the other one was excellent.  Oh well.
