stanford rejection
« on: April 25, 2005, 07:17:07 PM »
i don't feel like bumping a month-old thread, so...

got my rejection letter last week (saw it last night when i got home from vacation).  will update LSN at work tomorrow.  was hoping for a WL so i could have a rejection-free season.  oh well.  :)

LOL about the above

Too bad they messed up your rejection free season TDPookie. I am 9/9 from the schools I have heard from and only have Stanford and Harvard (Hold) still out there. I want to know whether I would get in, but I am headed to Penn (best fit and mega money!) and will withdraw unless they tell me first. If I withdraw, I can keep my rejection free list in tow b/c no one would have rejected me technically.  ;)

They knew that you were too cool for them and that you are on your way to Yale!  ;) :)

Screw Stanford. I haven't even heard from them yet. But I stopped caring whether they admit me or not a while ago. I just sent in my deposit to Harvard the other day, with no regrets. I'm sure we'll both be better off, even if we might have liked to stay in CA. I don't know about you, but I just wish they'd had the decency to pull the trigger a couple of months ago.

truth, glad you enjoyed the exchange with ilsox.  :)  i would have withdrawn earlier if i cared more about the lack of rejection than i did about knowing the outcome.  can't really complain.  can't complain regardless, because i did get into my dream school and am extremely happy with how everything turned out.  good luck with your last two pending, and congrats on penn and the money and the fit!  an excellent combo.

thanks star :)  stanford does have nicer chairs than yale...  hee hee.

kristay, that's what i tell myself too.  ;)

alpha, i'll join you: screw stanford!  (except as applies to people who will be going there, in which case, yay stanford and their fabulous herman miller aeron chairs!)  and even though my current wallpaper is the "we suck" prank at least year's yale-harvard game, and even though harvard didn't accept me, i'm really happy for you and all the other harvard-bound people from this board.  we should have a little reunion (or union, i guess it would be, as i've never met the H kids) the weekend before thanksgiving, new haven this year, cambridge next.  congrats on your final decision as well!

thanks for the love, all.   :-*
