Got moving plans down...but about those UHauls, though. An FYI to all of y'all:

When I first reserved our UHaul, I went to their website and entered in Irving to Lubbock. The prices were around $265. I said to hell with that, so I entered Dallas to Lubbock and it came up for $129. Pretty sweet.

My last day of work is Aug. 9, and we are probably doing the drive to "The Buck" on Aug. 11. (I have short-timer's syndrome like you would not beleive. Thank all of you here for helping me waste my time at work!)

What is the finalized plan for happy hour on that weekend. I think we all need to get together before we break off into our sections...

Well...

We're halfway there! We stopped in Shreveport for the night- only 9 more hours of driving tomorrow. We should get into Lubbock by late afternoon tomorrow and the moving truck arrives with our stuff at the house on Sunday.

WOO-HOO!  ;D

See you all soon!

Dell 9300 came in today amidst putting the finishing touches on the wedding plans for tomorrow. I opened it up and damn it that screen huge!!! It's also lighter than I even expected, but I'm going to love having that thing hogging all kinds of space on the desks at TTU.

Thanks Aron- but we were toting the dog and cat with us in the cars, strictly drive thru stops along the way!

Anyway- WE MADE IT!!!
We just rolled into town a couple hours ago and we're staying with some friends 'til our stuff gets here. Looks like that won't be until Wednesday....

In the meantime, I am ready to party it up- Lubbock style!

Let us know when everybody arrives!!!!
