I suggest you dispute those things on your credit report.  That puts the burden on the credit agencies to prove that it's true.  If they don't do it w/in 30 days, your golden and your score will rise.  I had the same probelm.  Two late payments.  One was note late.  The other one was unauthorized charges made while I was studying abroad and didn't pay because I didn't know about them.  I also had about 70%credit.  I started out with a 583 credit score.  Challenged one thing and my score raised to 650.  Challenged the second thing and my score raised to 705.  Paied down my credit cards to 50% and my score raised to 718.  Good luck.

I found increasing the credit lines on my existing cards actually took my score from about 620 to 690 since it reduced the debt ratio.

Only if you're using fake documents(ie,you make up payment receipts),etc.

I disputed a claim that my account was sent to a collection agency. The outcome from Experian was: "Delelted." Is that a good thing?  My credit score didn't change and it is still listed on my report.

Call the company directly and tell them to delete it.  It is up to them, and sometimes they take their sweet ol time.

If they supposedly deleted the info, it may take a while to show up that way. 

If any of you have a real provable dispute and you dispute correctly (and save all the correspondence) with the CRA (credit reporting agency) and the issue is not corrected, let me know.  My firm sues creditors for that stuff!
