Horrible Credit - Can I still get private loans?

Speaking of student loans, I have yet to take any out for ugrad, but might have to.  Does anyone know if parent loans, private loans, gov loans are repaid during school?  I know that subsidized loans have interest paid, but what about the other loans.  My parents surely don't want to pay the bill.  They would take out the loans and have me pay them, maybe they'd cover the interest during school, but do you have to pay anything other than interest during school?

Just about all student loans have deffered paymetns while in school. The subsidized loans also have deffered interest wereas the nonsubisidized and private loans accure interest while your in school.
