That's okay, Becky Beck's a nice lady.  Maybe she'll cut you some slack.
Oh, sweetheart, you don't need law school. Law school is for people who are boring and ugly and serious. And you, button, are none of those things.

Good point... That's something to consider.

Thought I'd join the discussion...
I've not heard anything concerning the Fall...got a yes for next spring and a wait list which ended up a yes for the summer.  I'm undecided though as it is so damned expensive!  I've got $ at Arkansas and a few wait lists still out...
But Baylor is a good school...
Do you think it is worth the extra $65K i'd pay?  Even if i'm not at all interested in
"big law?"

i say yes, because baylor places really well in texas. and texas is an inherently better state than arkansas.

Hell, Texas is an inherently better state than any of 'em!  (except when you consider the politics...although it is lively and makes for great stories!)  Too bad my girlfriend is dead set against living there...never can figure that one out...

So your girlfriend would live in Arkansas but NOT Texas?   ???   Do you and your "girlfriend" happen to share the same mother and father?    ;)

Baffling isn't it!?  It has largely to do with her love of mountains and outdoor recreation...so northwest arkansas is similar in that respect to her home state of North Carolina.  As far as soul goes, Texas is tough to beat...and it is tough for me not living there...call it foolish pride (and I know it can be foolish), but it can be hard to stomach...
any ideas on persuading a head strong gal to moving to a place she doesn't want to???
