The class probably filled up quicker because they are accepting less people this year.

They shouldn't accept applications past Feb 1 if they aren't even really going to consider those applications.  I am going to ask for my application fee back.  I think it's a fraud to make it seem as if you will be considered, when, in fact, they know you will not be.  Why not just put up a notice on their website saying "no more" instead of letting people continue to submit applications? 

I want my money back!  Consider my app or refund!

Hippie, your numbers are almost identical to mine. I would like my money back as well if they did indeed fill up before their app deadline as it appears they did.

I have decided to wait it out and see what happens. If I get accepted off the WL then I'll attend, if not then obviously I won't.

I think that instead of WLing us they were just going to wait until after the seat deposit deadline to decide. This would explain why we hadn't heard anything. It probably has more to do with seeing if they had room as opposed to being unorganized.

All I can say is that I am praying there is room left. (for myself and alkiremays, of course)

BTW-the rep I spoke to late last week said that they may pull 20-30 people off the waitlist because of the smaller number of acceptances they sent out this year.

No one will know for sure until the day that classes start....

Who was the rep? Was it the administrative person or when of the "advisors"?

Sanjeev Sant, which some people had recommended as being very forthright.  Don't know what his title was.

I spoke with Sanjeev right after I got my letter - a month or so ago.  Nice guy.  I sent him a follow up letter of interest (e:mail) and never heard back from him...

Yeah, I had another post title "OSU Moritz a black hole" because I've sent 2 e-mails, and left a phone call and never heard back from anyone. I finally called and got through to someone, but they certainly don't respond to e-mails and messages very well.
