Maybe some people are still marked as "pending" on the status checker?

My guess is that they have made a decision on you and they just havnt notified you. Like Snough, I was pending until I emailed them....the next day I was waitlisted.  Instead of notifying you of being on a waitlist, they are probably just waiting to see their deposits....if they don't get a lot of deposits and they like you, they will just admit you w/o actually placing you on a waitlist.  I'd be willing to bet decisions have been made on all those still "pending"

I was the one that spoke to admissions and was told that I would "most likely be waitlisted".  That was 2 weeks ago, but my status just finally changed from "referred" to "complete" yesterday.  I'm worried that that length of time means I went from WL to auto-reject after their seat deposits!

Tis true... Decision = canned, Complete = waitlist

My understanding is that they didn't reduce their class size, they reduced their number of offers to yield the same class size.  In years past their number of offers yielded over the 225 they wanted.  Fewer offers is what is resulting in going to the waitlist - my understanding.

As is always the case with me, the more time passes the crazier my life gets and the less likely quitting my job to go to school seems.  My job is frigging snowballing like you wouldn't believe.  I don't say no because I don't know what's going to happen with OSU.  I wouldn't mind deferring my acceptance at Capital a year but I would really rather not do that at OSU if by some (speaking of snowballing) chance I get in.  Help me...

My status just says "referred".  WTF does that mean?  Am I the only one not listed as "decison" or "complete"?

email them asking about your status. with your numbers i bet you'd be "complete" the next day.
