Update: Got the evil WL letter today.  (Note to those still waiting: my status check said "complete")

It even says "you are advised to do whatever is necessary to secure a place that might have been offered to you at another law school"

YUCK on them. 

I have until May 20 to respond and I am not going to. 

Fingers still crossed to get off hold at Wisconsin!

Definitely this week. He said they had a couple of open spots that they were looking to fill immediately - which means that the waitlist will actually be USED this year:) He said to expect an email today.

EEK!!!  I can't find my WL letter and I don't recall there being a reply by date.  Hopefully, my e-mailed LOCI to the Deans will suffice.

linquest: please call over there.  I would hate for there to be a problem otherwise. I will dig out my letter when I get home, but I believe that there was an actual reply card inside.  I will let you know in 3.5 hours (5:45 central)

The letter says "please submit the enclose form by 5/20/05, indicating whether you wish to remain on the waitlist"

Do you think people on the waitlist will hear something next week because of that deadline? I had already come to terms with the fact that I would not be attending OSU.

My take was that people who were going to be immediately accepted off the waitlist would have found out two weeks ago and the remaining people could possibly hear something any time between now and the first day of classes.

Perhaps they review the waitlist every time someone backs out of the acceptance they had and they want to rank it somehow.  I don't really know though to be honest
