I was worried something might thwart my excitement for GW...and now that's over...yay! Went to Decision on the status check on 4/6, letter dated the same day...DC look out! ;D

Sorry about UVA cause you would have loved it there.
However, GW is awesome and in DC, and you won't have to make a difficult decision.
Looks like you and I will be switching coasts.  I'm probably headed to CA from the DC area.

I think you'll love being in DC.

From the outset, even before the LSAT, all I wanted to do was get into GW, and when I did well, my expectations grew, and I applied to "better" schools, but I still only wanted GW. Even if it ends up the only school I get into, it doesn't matter, because you can only go to one, and you might as well only get into the only school you really want to go to...and the money helps too... ;)

Are you going to Hastings?

I'm glad you got into the school that you wanted from the get go.
I wanted GW too, but they at last it was not meant to be...
I would love to attend Hastings, but I have to see if my wife also gets in.
So until then it looks like USD for me (where both of us are in so far).

Minor hijack: Did you guys mention this anywhere in the application?

Edit: It would kinda kick ass to have an around the clock study partner lol. I could imagine years 2 & 3 going very smoothly picking the same classes :)

No we didn't.
That seemed like too much begging.
Although, my wife recently sent an e-mail to Hastings asking for a decision time frame.

I see. I think I would have mentioned it. Not that I think you did anything wrong, just another road, I guess. In a situation where choosing between 2 similar candidates, it could give an edge instead of looking at the LSAT writing sample. It could also annoy a committee, too. I guess there is no safe way to play it.

Yeah, you really need to either call them or email them and tell them your situtation.  I'm sure you're a nice guy/girl/whatever, but you were seriously misguided in not telling hasings you were married to this other applicant.  Now that you have gotten in, I would not hesitate on leveraging that to get your wife in.

If you do want to go to the same school as your wife, and you want to go to hastings, please act now.  Not doing so would be retarded.

ok, come on now...enough of this hijacking business...stay focused...I got rejected from UVA. Granted, I'm not heartbroken, but I wouldn't mind a little respect for my situation...

Do you need me to start another thread for you about negotiating with law schools to admit your spouse?

..we now return you to your original programming...
Yeah Jules, You would have loved UVA.  The law school building is amazing, and the law library is sooo nice that everyone from UVA goes there to study.  But, since you appears to be a BIG CITY gal, you'll love DC and GW.  Don't forget to get your Manushi Hotdog in front of Tower Records.  BEST HOTDOG in town and top 10 in the WORLD!!!! He sells from a cart and is only there weekend nights.  To get all the GW drunkards...Tastes just as good sober.
