Somehow I got rejected from Ole Miss. I got waitlisted at W&M and rejected from Ole Miss? Wonder what the odds were on that.

W and M seem to have waitlisted a ton of people, there are well over 100 on LSN.  Not trying to rain on your parade, but thought I should point it out.

congrats on depaul

I emailed admissions to light a fire under their ass, and they emailed back to say they mailed it out Friday. The letter was in my mailbox last night.

No need to rain on my parade, Soup. I was actually shocked that I was waitlisted at W&M considering my numbers. It just think it is highly amusing that I got waitlisted where I should have been rejected and rejected at a school I should have at least (in my mind) gotten waitlisted.

I'm suprised you got a reject from Ole Miss with your numbers?  WTF are they looking for?

Yeah, I had always considered Ole Miss a safe bet. I guess being out-of-state (and a borderline Yankee) didn't help.

'Old Diss', I love it!...you're good with words- and that makes a good lawyer...

Good luck at Bill & Maude!  I hope you get in (and put Miss. in their place).  I did sales training in Jackson way back when- wouldn't go to school in Mississippi if my life depended on it!

Have fun in Williamsburg this fall.

Again, hope you get in (I didn't...),

Just have to make a small distinction here.  I lived in Jackson for a year and hated it.  However, I grew up in MS and have been just about everywhere...and it is a WONDERFUL state.  If you've only been to Jackson, you have no clue what the state is really made of.

Ok, let's review.  Jackson=BAD.  Mississippi=GOOD.   :P

I visited Ole Miss back in the fall and the admissions lady basically told me since i wasnt from that wonderful state my chances were pretty low of getting in.  She told me I should probably consider "other schools" even though she had no idea about my numbers.  I didnt even waste my money applying down there.
