I am so happy to be back in Miami. In the past 3 weeks my husband and I have driven 6000 miles and I never want to see the inside of a car again!! Anyway, are you guys taking your laptops to orientation? And where should I park again? Sadly, I've never actually been on campus yet  I'm going to go tomorrow and take care of last minute stuff, so hopefully it won't be too hard to figure out.

Wow!  That's a lot of driving! 

They updated the orientation info. site with this tag: "Students are highly encouraged to bring their laptops to day one of Orientation.  Instructions on network connectivity will be given during the Technology Orientation."

...so I guess we can practice lugging the laptops around lol.

The only thing I know about the Dean's Dinner is that they post our assignments by the end of it. I'm sure they'll give us more info during orientation.

I am a little annoyed that I have to drive to campus on Wed for an hr and a half financial aid thing. I wish they would have tacked it onto the end of mondays events.

This is as much as I know about the Dean's dinner:

It is cocktail formal.  They feed us pretty decently and have beer and wine.  Lots of people get up and tell us how we are the future of the legal society and how priviledged we are to go here. Thats about all I know.  Wish I could be of more help!

ok, did anyone go to the club last night?  i realized when i was there that i had no idea what any of you looked like (with the exception of djladyjo, i saw a brief photo of her here once).  it was cool, and i met some nice people.  if any of you plan on meeting up in the future -- or perhaps at the law school during orientation -- please send message.

I dont want to walk up to random people and say LSD? LSD? I'm sure they will think i'm looking to score some drugs. I am the short little blonde girl from michigan, ya cant miss me. Everyone I met so far from LSD knew me right away - I briefly had my picture up too.

hey everyone!

im back after a long summer traveling all over europe with a friend.  things have been crazy since ive been back...i dont even have a laptop or place to live yet, so im stuck living at home for 3-4 weeks until my apt is ready.

im pretty nervous/excited for school to start. i really cant believe orientation is tomorrow morning.  anyways, my name is eric and heres a pic( http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a311/ericm123/4.jpg ).  im the guy in the front left with the longsleeve blue shirt(we were doing vodka shots in moscow at like 11 in the morning to celebrate my 22nd bday) come introduce yourself if you see me around.

I think we can park wherever tomorrow.. and we should bring our laptops (sounds like a pain, really) according to the updated website..
