Hey all,

Does anyone know if there is a public track available for use on campus?  I'm not much of a waitlifter, I just like to time myself while running laps.
LSAT:166   GPA: 3.2 @ UPenn
Attending: Miami
Accepted: Fordham, Miami$$
Rejected:  Northwestern, UCLA, GW, BC
Waitlist: USC

Kwame Brown can't read.

upenn, from what i remember, there is a track.  it is located to the right if you are walking from the university center to the gym, shortly after the lake begins to curve.

I'm currently in Japan, as usual. The weather here is nearly as hot as Miami, without air-conditioning. I really can't wait to get to school. Will only have about a week between returning home and going down. I hope I recoognize you all at orientation. you've all been a great help in planning. Anyone know if there are any stores where you can buy Japanese food? I know there are some in the metropolitan area but would prefer not to drive to far. I don't want my girlfriend to go hungry.

lots of japanese stores around.. i know there is one on Coral Way near 17th avenue.. i cant remember the name.. but i'll ask at work today.. one of my coworkers lived in Japan for three years doing the JET program.. and he's still very into the Japanese culture down in Miami.. he's been even going to a Kendo Dojo and competing in national Kendo tournaments.. who even knew they had those down here?

anyhow.. i'll ask later and let you know..

 ;D

Iseya is a japanese food market on the corner of 107th Avenue and Miller Road (5623 SW 10th Ave)

Sushi Chef is a small sushi restaurant which also doubles as a small Japanese food market and sells other random Japanese things.. its on 3100 Coral Way..

Also, as far as going out to eat Japanese food.. i highly recommend Matsuri on Red Road and Bird Road (5759 Bird Road).. its the most authentic (not touristy) in my opinion.. always tons of Japanese people eating there.. and the food is awesome..

You must've all gotten a lot of scholarship money! LOL I'll be living on Raman noodles the next 3 years, I don't even want to think about spending $30 to eat authentic japanese sushi for a very long time.

Hopefully, if this show is a hit, Roy Black will come by the school and speak.  Who knows, maybe they will do a reality show about students currently attending law school.

Don't worry florida guy, I'll be right there eating ramen with you! Maybe we can buy them in bulk and save! If I do splurge though, I could think of worse ways than a sushi meal.
Jo, you have good taste! All the Japanese travel guides I've seen mention Matsuri. There are a few sushi places near my apartment. I was thinking my girlfriend could work at one of them, if and when she becomes MORE than my girlfriend... Probably no use thinking about that now. Thanks again!
