I probably wont be heading down till the middle of July - cause of work.  I hopefully will have my apartment ready before then though.

I guess with a 10-month lease that I have seen several places offer - I should be good till next May.  I will definitely take part in the study abroad program they have - so I rather not keep the apartment unoccupied for that long of a time.

Anyone else interested in the study abroad program?

I will probably do it.. I hear that a lot of employers like to see the study abroad but I do not know if it more valuable than an unpaid internship or not... it sure as hell would be a lot more fun.  I am 80% sure I will be going abroad though.

I am definitely planning to go abroad.  Several people have told me it really doesn't matter what you do with your first summer, as long as you do something, and even encouraged me to go abroad the first summer because obviously the second one has to be career oriented.  The nice thing about Miami I learned is that they let you apply your scholarship to the summer programs, meaning for example if your scholarship covers half of annual tuition, you only have to pay for half the cost of the summer program.

Taking into consideration the fact that the prices go down on the later pages a place I can afford should appear on about page 265 (if there were one).

with the study abroad program - you get six credits as well.  so i assume that should make your 2L and 3L workload lighter - giving you enough time for law review and such.

OK Miamians...try to talk me into it.  I love Florida, it's Miami vs. Case Western....the equivalent of the bout between Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed.  Give it your best shot!

This is another where do you want to work and live after graduating.  If you want to stay in the midwest Case Western is the obvious choice, but if you want to end up in Florida to me Miami would give you a much better opportunity to practice in Florida and get the type of job you are looking for.

yeah, the topless thing is pretty cool.  and they are very open about it -- many girls don't just lie down bellies up, they actually walk around, showing themselves off.  i think it is a little bit ridiculous and exhibitionist, but isn't that what miami is all about?

with one exception.  i think it is hot when girls where low cut jeans, showing their bikini string tan lines on their hips.

I'm in total agreement with that. I hate tan lines.

on another note, i was browsing the listings on the miami herald last night, and it appears that brickell is very expensive.  there were listings for apartments in the grove and in coral gables anywhere from 650 to 900 dollars -- for studios and one bedrooms -- but in brickell everything was well over a G.

Thanks for the heads up.
But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.
