OK Miamians...try to talk me into it. I love Florida, it's Miami vs. Case Western....the equivalent of the bout between Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed. Give it your best shot!

all of us lsd'ers should do something together before law school starts.

my suggestion: go down to john pennekamp park(key largo) for the day and rent a boat.  we could bring a cooler of beer and some sandwiches and just dive/snorkel and chill out on the water for the day.

yay or nay?

name comes from brazilian jiujitsu.  its a portugese phrase thats a compliment in jiujitsu, although i think it literally means something like "rough hide."  i used to train at this place where the instructor didnt really speak english, and he would either yell "PORRA!"(bad word) if you screwed up or did something dumb, or say "cascagrossa" if you won a match.

I probably wont be heading down till the middle of July - cause of work.  I hopefully will have my apartment ready before then though.

I guess with a 10-month lease that I have seen several places offer - I should be good till next May.  I will definitely take part in the study abroad program they have - so I rather not keep the apartment unoccupied for that long of a time.

Anyone else interested in the study abroad program?

the study abroad program sounds great! The only thing i worry about is that you can gain experience interning somewhere during that summer (albeit unpaid).. and that first summer internship can count for experience when applying for paid positions your second summer..

I totally want to do it though.. I'd take the Greece/Italy/Spain route.. sounds more like a great European summer vacation than an actual course..

Dunno.. i'll wait and see..

And the best neigborhoods to live in that are within beach cruiser distance from campus are.....?????

Thanks.
But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.

I would say the Biltmore Section of Coral Gables... you don't have to cross US 1.
