Ok, well I just saw the new 2006 rankings on US News web site, and I have to say, I have lost any remaining semi-believing factors in the school rankings. I had a budy go to McGeorge School of Law at UofP and they were ranked as a mid tier 3 school. Suddenly, they break into the top 100 at slot 90!? Negative ghost rider, that pattern is FULL. I am pulling the BS card on this one. IF McGeorge has beaten out other schools which are "better", however they determine better I don't know, then they must have fudged their numbers, or else focused to increase their school "functions" in order to receive a higher ranking. Either way, US News and World Report sucks! Why? There is no way to measure intagibles, therefore they must rely upon subjective markers which are inherently flawed and easily manipulated.
