I don't type quickly...am I screwed??
« on: March 31, 2008, 05:19:20 PM »
I've heard from a few people that the ability to type quickly is a very valuable skill in Law School.  I do not type well, however, and certainly can't type without looking at the keyboard.  Is this something I should address before I enter my 1L year??  I know it's kind of a weird question but any advice would be helpful.

I knew a guy who took notes in class by hand because of this problem. You could do that, or, you could take some typing tutorials before school starts. I don't really see it being a big problem. Some people don't type fast, but they still use the computer in class. But like I said, you could always take notes by hand if it makes you feel more comfortable.

If you can write by hand fairly well you should be fine.

If you are slow both ways...yea it is going to be difficult.
