My professor has told me to write my own LOR
« on: February 26, 2008, 01:47:18 PM »
I need 2 letters of rec for this summer judicial internship. One of the professors (my adjunct for my writing class) asked me to write a draft which she will edit and amend to her liking before signing and sending to the judge.

I really don't know how to write a LOR for myself. Any advice?

I should add that in the first semester I got a "pass." I did pretty well on the first memo but didn't do too well on the second one (got a B) which counted for more. This semester I got an A on the only memo we have done so far. Aside from that, I participate somewhat but not a ton, and I have a good, friendly relationship with him (the professor).

Look on the undergrad board, there are whole sections devoted to LOR writing.
