Hours of studying???

How many hours a day or week does everyone here study??

i usually study 20-22 hours per day. 18 per day on weekends.

I've got good grades.  I barely keep up with my reading and "study" by typing up my notes.  Before exams I just crack down on myself for the reading days and knock it out.

3 or 4 hours outside of class on a good day (i.e. studying a lot) ... I usually don't do any work on Saturdays.

4 to 4.5 hours a day (usually seven days a week).  Top 20%.

When people say "study" do they mean actually studying the material, or does doing your reading for class count too?

I "study" maybe 1 hour a week aside from doing my readings and briefing/taking notes on the material (which I did religiously 1L year, and occasionally or not at all now as a 2L). Maybe a few hours a day preparing for class depending on the assignments. I've also put in a lot of time on writing assignments (seminar papers, legal writing etc).

I study much more toward the end of the semester.

Top 10% 1L, top 20% 2L.

I spend anywhere from 4-6 hours a day working on briefing and reviewing my notes.  I am behind on outlining the course, but I'll get there.  Plus, I don't do any work on Friday from 5 pm on.  Saturday's, I work on school stuff for a few hours in the morning and I usually bang some work out Sunday night, from 8:30 until around 10....

I know people who spend 2-3 hours a day with no weekends and some people who spend 6-10 hours a day.
Almost everyone I know has managed to reserve at least one full day where they don't even think about law school.
During our orientation, they actually advised us to do this to maintain mental health....
