Hey connelley, how are you? So are you 100% on GSU or still waiting on more decisions? I sent my deposit in the other day, figured I may as well. UGA is too far and Emory is too much$ so either way I'm at GSU.

99%.  It would take a massive scholarship offer from Charleston, which is highly unlikely.  I'm also clearing up issues related to my job before turning in my seat deposit.  As of now, the plan will be to attend GSU.

Do you guys know anything about getting in-state tuition as an out-of-stater in 2L? What are GSU's policies? I've read everything there is to read about it, but I wonder how strict they are. It says you would have had to move to GA for some other reason than to attend school.

Do you all know of anyone who has experience with this?

I was wondering the same thing. The wording from their website makes it sound as if you must have lived in Georgia for an entire year before enrolling in any school, if you want to be conisdered for in state tuition.

It seems like it is 12 months before each term. So if you moved in July, you'd be out of state 1L, but in 2&3L. But its the other qualifications that are a problem for me. As in the one I mentioned above, and "paying meaningful taxes".

No one has been accepted on LSN for the past few days... im getting more and more anxious everyday and the days feel like months.

Merquito, I didn't mean to scare you. It's not THAT bad I mean yeah it's happened but only if you're being unsafe like walking around alone at night or something. GSU has their own police, and if you feel unsafe they can escort you to your car (although i've never done that... haha) it's not really that necessary.

I would get an apartment in the Druid Hills area if you want to save some money. If money isnt an issue, I would definitely get an apartment in midtown. Druid Hills is an area in close proximity to GSU and it's also a very studenty area. They have some nice apartments with pretty decent rent. I know a lot of students that have houses or apartments there and when my husband was in college he rented a really nice 3 story townhouse in that area. The POST apartments are usually really nice. I hope that helps some.

hey guys,
I believe if you move here permanently, which means license change, taxes, and voter registration, it is one year from that point. because they will ask for these documents when you go to prove you are a resident.

I heard that they were waiting on the feb LSAT scores to throw in the batch with the other applicants. Then they will go through and start admitting again. A 1L I know from there told me that thats how they admit.She didnt get admitted til April and she called last year and thats what they told her.

yeahhh i know... don't they also wait to send out the letters for auto rejects later? haha...
