Criminal Law Supplement Recomendation?

The Dressler Understanding Criminal Law is a must, even more so since you're using the Dressler casebook.

Is "understanding crim law" enough for the exam? Do you think commercial outlines are usefule?

I used commercial outlines a couple of times my first semester of law school, and hated them all, so i can't help you there.

I pretty much used Dressler, and that's it.  I got the Crim E&E at a used study guide sale, and used it only for the questions.  I didn't like it much - the questions were poorly worded, and answers seemed very incomplete and in a couple of cases, they were just plain wrong under the CL OR the MPC.  So I can't recommend that either.

Ive know many professors, including my own CrimLaw Prof. who take exam questions from the PMBR study guides.  Many more also use it as a guide in creating questions.

Dressler's stuff is great since you're using his casebook.  Along with the Understanding book, also has a book in the Black Letter Law series and he did the audio for Sum & Substance Crim Law.

I just used Dressler's treatise, and we didn't even use his casebook. I did really well in the class. Definitely recommend it!
