question re: writing sample

Do you think it is better to leave the writing sample in courier new or to change it to times new roman for ease of reading?

I'm not sure why you are "leaving" it in courier new ... I always use times new roman - I think it's the best looking font.

well, we are required to write it in courier new for LRW, thus i would be leaving it in that font.

any other opinions?

You only have to write in courier new because it's a uniform font.  It makes sure everyone is constrained by the same page/line limits.

You have no such requirement for firms.  Put it in whatever font you like, although TNR is probably best.

Courier new also helps to identify spacing when doing bluebook grading.  Don't send a writing sample to a firm in courier new, errors are easier to spot and it just doesn't look like a finished product.
