Transferring to GULC EA
« on: January 16, 2008, 11:07:45 PM »
Hey guys I just finished up my first semester at UPitt.  My GPA for the semester is a 3.95.  I was wondering what you thought my chances of getting into GULC EA were and whether there are any other schools out there worth considering.  Thanks in advance.

I would say your chances are quite good, so apply pronto.

Most other top schools won't look at your app until May, so you'll have to wait for those.

Good Luck.

Excuse my ignorance but where is Pitt ranked?  I would say regardless that you have a very good chance of getting in.

Thanks for the advice and encouragement.  Pitt is ranked 56 I believe.

Couple other questions.

I am a little confused about what a transfer personal statement is suppose to discuss.  Is it mainly based solely on my experience in law school and why I want to transfer?  Or does it go along the same lines as the original personal statement for law school but incorporates the reasoning for transferring somehow.  Thanks again.

My advise would be to go on the specific school website.  You are going to have to include reasons for transfering in just about every person statement.
