OK miscalculated all-year class in there that doesn't count until the end of the year.. so 3.6! WOOOO!

you missed the 3.8 i was predicting, but you still did well  :P  I hate to say this, but told ya so.  you are at miami right?  I think you had said that.  Id need to know your curve at your school to predict where you fell.  At a 3.2 curve youd be around top 25% though, but I think your curve, if i remember you saying miami is lower then that.

If you are at miami and you got a 3.6 its time to drop some T14 transfer apps.

I don't get my 1L first semester grades till the 25th, but I really did not feel good about the exams.
c'est la vie!

I didn't feel good at all about either of those A's I posted, FWIW. I was convinced I was headed for the bottom quarter of my contracts class.

As it turns out I did pretty ok.  And, not surprisingly, I did the best on the tests I thought were the hardest, and the worst on the test I thought I would do the best on.

Oh law school!

The class I did the worst in was the hardest.  I was counting on doing better than everyone else on the curve.  I guess a few other people had the same idea and executed the plan better than I did.

But the second worst grade I got was the test that was easy for everyone.

In "green with envy" news, one of my closest friends Am Jur'd 4/5 classes.

It's the curve... if you thought it was easy, everyone else prob. thought so too.

I assume this means straight A's, but where did this expression come from?

Am Jur'd?

Well the American Jurisprudence award at many schools is given to people who get the highest grade in a class.
My friend got the highest grade in four of our five classes.
